If you find yourself anywhere near Reno, Nevada or Portola, California on the weekend of July 8, you need to join in on the fun at the 2nd Annual Lost Sierra Electric Bike Festival. It’s a day of fun, competition, networking and fellowship at the 2000 acre Diamond S Ranch in the heart of the Lost Sierra. It’s about 45 minutes from Reno or Truckee, just above Downieville. Parking and attendance are free. There are campsites for $20 a night, there’s a buffet-style Western BBQ in an old barn, and music.
There’s a trail race, a 100 meter drag race, long jump, Best in Show E-Bike Build, Trail tour demos (you can try riding an e-bike if you haven’t yet) and more. There are even kids’ races! All styles and levels of electric bikes are allowed and encouraged, since the event is on private land. Go visit with our friend Chris Rothe and the rest of the Eco Bike Adventures crew and check out their powerful and incredible custom bikes!
